What is Root and Flourish?
At Root and Flourish, my desire is to create space for others to deepen their relationship with God, receive healing in their body/mind/spirit, and encounter authentic community. I believe the practice of Holy Yoga Is a beautiful way to offer all of these things.
I have studied the Bible for a long time, but have learned in more recent years that meditating on God's Word is different than just reading it. When you meditate on the Word, it somehow begins to become part of you...and begins to transform how you think, feel and act. Scripture promises us that we will flourish and bear fruit when we are deeply rooted in His Word and in His love.
Yoga has long been known to offer many benefits, such as: improving muscle tone, flexibility, balance, and circulation; building strength in joints, ligaments and tendons; pain management; reduction in stress, anxiety and depression; assistance in overcoming the affects of trauma; improving memory and concentration.
The practice of Holy Yoga offers these physical benefits as well, but it is also a beautiful way to integrate meditating on God's Word with movement of the body and breath. This Yoga experience is a time of worship, praise, and connection to Christ practiced to contemporary and motivational Christian music. It is an experience that teaches us to take time to love, nurture, accept, heal and grow ourselves in His Word and in His Spirit. All levels from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners are welcome.
Come join me for a yoga class, bible study or a retreat...we aren't meant to make this journey all on our own. When we come together with other believers to worship and root ourselves in His Word, something beautiful happens!

Holy Yoga Advent Series
Advent...it is a season of preparation, waiting and anticipation. It is a coming into place, an arrival...often referring to the birth or the second coming of Christ. After the year 2020, this season seems all the more meaningful to me. It is a time to remember that Jesus came to earth to offer salvation and that because of Him, we can live a life full of hope, joy, peace, and love, despite our circumstances! These are the four themes we will explore as we journey through this Advent season together.
Come, let's prepare our hearts for Christmas!
*Due to Covid-19 restrictions, class will be offered on Zoom.
The link to access the four week series will be emailed to you upon payment. Classes will be recorded and available for approximately two weeks for those unable to attend the live session.
Friday Mornings at 9:00am
Returning in 2021
This 60 minute class incorporates introspective, slow movements and focuses on linking breath with motion. This is a vinyasa-style class in which poses are held for several breaths, allowing for focus on alignment. This class will not only help you gain flexibility, but will also increase strength and balance through standing sequences and core strengthening exercises. Slow enough for all levels while giving the most advanced student the opportunity for growth.
*Space is limited, so please reserve a space only when you know you will attend. Bring your own mat and props. Due to COVID-19 I will not be able to have these available. Mask is required to enter building and set up space, but you may practice without a mask if you wish.
