What is Root and Flourish?
At Root and Flourish, my desire is to create space for others to deepen their relationship with God, receive healing in their body/mind/spirit, and encounter authentic community. I believe the practice of Holy Yoga Is a beautiful way to offer all of these things.
I have studied the Bible for a long time, but have learned in more recent years that meditating on God's Word is different than just reading it. When you meditate on the Word, it somehow begins to become part of you...and begins to transform how you think, feel and act. Scripture promises us that we will flourish and bear fruit when we are deeply rooted in His Word and in His love.
Yoga has long been known to offer many benefits, such as: improving muscle tone, flexibility, balance, and circulation; building strength in joints, ligaments and tendons; pain management; reduction in stress, anxiety and depression; assistance in overcoming the affects of trauma; improving memory and concentration.
The practice of Holy Yoga offers these physical benefits as well, but it is also a beautiful way to integrate meditating on God's Word with movement of the body and breath. This Yoga experience is a time of worship, praise, and connection to Christ practiced to contemporary and motivational Christian music. It is an experience that teaches us to take time to love, nurture, accept, heal and grow ourselves in His Word and in His Spirit. All levels from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners are welcome.
Come join me for a yoga class, bible study or a retreat...we aren't meant to make this journey all on our own. When we come together with other believers to worship and root ourselves in His Word, something beautiful happens!
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"I find the scripture, devotions, and worship music create the perfect environment for meeting with Jesus. Absolutely every time I go to Holy Yoga, the Lord speaks something to my heart..
It's an hour of focus and meditation and prayer.
I love it. I need it. I hate to miss it!!!"
"Learning to breathe [so deeply] has helped to calm me and to really slow down mentally.
I also had chronic back issues before starting my Holy Yoga practice. Yoga has helped strengthen my core and I haven't been to the doctor with back issues in three years!"
I look so forward to Holy Yoga! I get to BE STILL and have God’s Word spoken over me during practice several times. My heart thinks on that particular scripture reading all day and throughout the evening. My body is rejuvenated from the inside out and I leave feeling settled, focused, and closer to Him.

Root & Restore
Mondays @ 7:00 pm
at All Heart Garage
A four week series starting November 27th
A gentle, slow moving practice with long--held postures designed to stretch, strengthen, and restore the deeper tissues of the body. The slower pace of this practice encourages a calming of the nervous system and a quieting of the mind, creating space for contemplation and listening for the Spirit's whisper as we reflect on scripture. It is a time intended to allow you to receive, rest in, and root down into the love of God.
Flourish & Flow
Wednesdays at 9:15 am on Zoom (Recorded for those unable to attend live sessions. Recordings available for at least a month.)
A four week series starting November 29th
A more active class, focused on linking movement with breath. This class will not only help you gain flexibility, but will also increase strength and balance through standing sequences and core strengthening exercises. Slow enough for all levels while giving the most advanced student the opportunity for growth. God's Word is woven throughout the class to strengthen your soul as well.
